Please join us as our speakers address patent damages across various types of free-to-consumer products (e.g., Google Search, web browsers), including social media products. The nature of these businesses raises several important and interesting issues—for example, what does “value” mean in this environment, as applied to intellectual property such as patents? How should apportionment issues be analyzed, especially when monetization strategy may be a step removed from the patented technology? Also, how should we reconcile sound economic analysis of patent damages in these industries with the case law?
PLEASE NOTE THE NEW LOCATION! Please join us for this in-person meeting. The SDIPLA Board is monitoring CDC recommendations. We will have an outdoor reception with food/drinks from 6:00-6:45 pm where masks will be optional. The 6:45 pm presentation will be indoors, and we will ask attendees to wear masks during the presentation.
