Since the Supreme Court’s decision in Alice v. CLS Bank, patent subject matter eligibility law has evolved in the courts and at the US Patent & Trademark Office. In this presentation, Evan will explore the current state of patent subject matter eligibility law including a discussion of some recent noteworthy Federal Circuit cases, potential Supreme Court cases to keep an eye on, and proposed legislation to address patent eligibility concerns. He will also provide practical tips for navigating subject matter eligibility case law with the patent office in view of the recent cases and the proposed legislation.
